Tatton is a civil parish located in the county of Cheshire, England. It is situated approximately 15 miles south of Manchester and spans an area of around 6 square miles. The parish is part of the borough of Cheshire East and falls within the Tatton constituency.

The area is primarily known for its historical significance and stunning landscapes. It is home to the Tatton Park estate, which covers a vast area of over 1,000 acres. Tatton Park is renowned for its beautifully preserved Georgian mansion, Tatton Hall, which dates back to the 18th century. Tatton Mere Mill Pool Located in the NE corner of the square, this small mill pool is on the outlet stream from Tatton Mere. Thanks to Judy Popley (Geograph visitor and ex Tatton Estate employee) for additional information. The water flow was used to generate electricity for the estate at one time and indeed the water is still used for the toilets in the stable yard. Pump house is out of shot to the left.
The vehicle in the picture is that of the Park Rangers who appear to be maintaining the outlet.
