His poem "Pwll Deri" celebrates this precise landscape; his memorial here carries the couplet "A THINA'R MEDDILIE SY'N DWAD ICHI / PAN FOCH CHI'N ISHTE UWCHBEN PWLLDERI" ("And these are the thoughts that come to you / When you sit above Pwllderi").
