The Greeb, Cornwall, is a small island located off the southwestern coast of England. With an area of approximately 1.5 hectares, it is one of the smallest islands in the region. The Greeb is situated about 500 meters from the mainland, near the town of Marazion.

The island is known for its stunning natural beauty and rich wildlife. Its rocky shores are home to a variety of seabirds, including gulls, cormorants, and oystercatchers. The surrounding waters are abundant with marine life, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.

Access to The Greeb is limited due to its small size and protected status. However, during low tide, it is possible to walk across a narrow causeway that connects the island to the mainland. This provides visitors with a unique opportunity to explore the island's rugged terrain and enjoy panoramic views of the coastline.

The Greeb is also notable for its historical significance. The island is believed to have been inhabited during the Iron Age, and remnants of ancient settlements can still be found. Additionally, it is said to have been a lookout point during the Napoleonic era, with remnants of a watchtower still standing.

Overall, The Greeb offers a captivating blend of natural beauty and historical intrigue. Its small size and protected status make it an idyllic retreat for nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike.
