Ferry Terminal at Kennacraig Kennacraig is on the west coast of the Kintyre peninsula, just south of Tarbert. To get there, you can take a route over the mainland, or catch a ferry to one of the islands and over to the Kintyre peninsula, there are a number of routes available. Well worth catching the ferry to Bute, then to Colintraive, then to Tarbert, this route involves three ferries, and some spectacular scenery. The ferry terminal at Kennacraig, ferries to Islay, Colonsay run from here here. The ferries do not run directly to Jura, one runs to Port Ellen one through to Port Askaig on Islay, a short ferry trip runs from Port Askaig across the sound of Islay to Jura. The ferry from Kennacraig to Port Askaig carries on to Colonsay and Oban.
