Migrant hawker (Aeshna mixta) Migrant hawkers are quite common with their stronghold being in south England.
The male looks quite dark with blue, paired spots along the abdomen and pale yellow ante-humerals.The female is brown with similar markings to the male but its spots are smaller, often yellow, and only occasionally blue. Migrant hawkers are quite common with their stronghold being in south England. The male looks quite dark with blue, paired spots along the abdomen and pale yellow ante-humerals.The female is brown with similar markings to the male but its spots are smaller, often yellow, and only occasionally blue.
