Black Rock is a small island located off the coast of Cornwall, England. Situated in the Celtic Sea, it is part of the Isles of Scilly archipelago. The island covers an area of approximately 1.5 hectares and is composed mainly of granite rock formations.

Black Rock gets its name from the dark-colored rocks that dominate its landscape. The island is known for its rugged and wild appearance, with towering cliffs and rocky outcrops creating a dramatic scenery. It is largely uninhabited, with no permanent residents, making it a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and adventurers seeking a remote and untouched experience.

The island is home to a variety of wildlife, including seabirds such as puffins, gulls, and cormorants. Its coastal waters are teeming with marine life, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling and diving. The surrounding waters also provide a habitat for seals, dolphins, and occasionally whales, attracting wildlife enthusiasts and photographers.

Access to Black Rock is limited, with no regular ferry service. However, it is possible to visit the island by private boat or as part of a guided tour from nearby islands in the Scilly Isles. The rocky terrain and absence of facilities on the island make it essential for visitors to come prepared with appropriate gear and supplies.

Black Rock offers a unique and secluded experience for those seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its stunning natural beauty and diverse wildlife, it is a hidden gem within the Isles of Scilly archipelago.
