Flat Copse is a woodland area located in the county of Wiltshire, in the southwest of England. It is situated near the village of Chiseldon, approximately 5 miles southeast of the town of Swindon. Covering an area of around 100 acres, Flat Copse is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to its rich biodiversity and historical significance.

The woodland consists mainly of mixed broadleaf trees, including oak, beech, and ash, providing a diverse habitat for a variety of plant and animal species. Bluebells, wood anemones, and wild garlic are common flora found within the copse, creating a vibrant and colorful environment during the spring months.

The forest has a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, making it a popular destination for nature lovers, hikers, and birdwatchers. The copse is home to a wide range of bird species, including woodpeckers, owls, and various songbirds.

Flat Copse is also steeped in history, with evidence of human activity dating back to the Iron Age.
