Lane north of Cattistock On my way in to Cattistock the previous evening, I forgot to get a picture of this square as we passed through. Too keen to get to my bed and breakfast. So I had to nip back the following morning. It was a Bank Holiday so it was raining, after weeks of fine weather.

Cottage Detail, Chantmarle Flint rubble is very much in evidence in the fields and in the construction of local vernacular buildings in this area which is dominated geologically by chalk. Some brick has been used in this thatched cottage and also some cut golden Hamstone which almost certainly was scavenged from Chantmarle Manor, a large house nearby built entirely of Hamstone.
