Old milestone There are many similar shaped granite milestones in several areas of Ayrshire.   This one on the A70 is just west of East Tarelgin.   This right face is engraved Ayr/9.   The left face has Ochiltree/2½/Cumnock/6¾.   There is a pin benchmark on the narrow back top edge.
