Part of the car park in Llangedwyn in the Tanat valley / Dyffryn Tanat I love a community car park; free parking and a great amenity for walkers like me, also offering easy reycling so we don't have to take plastic bottles home and offering great views around the valley area. There's even a few potholes and puddles to show it's used. Great.

View to Llywn Bryn-dinas hill from Llangedwyn What a view, what a hill, what a morning!

I'm gonna be up there later.

As I drove in on my approach to this walk I dropped the window of my car and the fresh morning air flowed in, cool and crisp. The spirit of the morning got in too, lithe and vibrant, like a welcome hitch-hiker and sat on the rear seat leaning forward crackling with barely contained energy, bringing to mind the first note of a pheasant's alarm call, ready for the off. What a day for walking.

Row of old garages in Llangedwyn village Ah, a lovely example of garages from the 1960s is my guess. Though it looks as if they have not been used by cars for a long while, maybe never. Who knows?

Nice roof too. Lovely panelling, hinges and intact locks. Great stuff.
