The last of the late Mark Bourne's amazing creations, as you ascend the public footpath into the forestry above. Though the majority of his fantasy collection of miniature buildings - a poor man's Portmeirion, perhaps - was Italian in theme and subject, there are plenty of other influences at work: a fine collection of bricks from works throughout NE Wales especially, and here a 3D map of the geology of the Cadair Idris area and a memorial to poet Wilfred Owen. The old gateway into the cemetery of the quarrymen and their families at Abercorris. Along with the rest of the village, it is in ruins, and has been swallowed by the forestry plantation.
