Green Hammerton Independent Chapel/St Joseph's RC Church Taken from the Green with the road running behind the camera, parallel to the buildings. The former Independent Chapel opened in 1797 (See supplemental photo of the plaque above the central window) but eventually became redundant before 1960. It was then bought by the Catholic church. Apparently the interior was remodelled at the time, but the exterior can have changed little since it was built.
