Old bridge piers in the River Tyne

It is not easy to get a good view of these piers, but it helps when the leaves are off the trees. The bridge carrying the Border Counties Railway from Hexham to Riccarton Junction in Roxburghshire, diverged from the Newcastle to Carlisle line at this point.
