Shoulsbury Castle is an ancient hillfort located in Devon, England. Believed to have been constructed during the Iron Age, the site is situated on a prominent hill overlooking the surrounding landscape. The hillfort is roughly oval in shape, with a series of defensive earthworks and ramparts encircling the interior.

The site is thought to have been used for defensive purposes, providing a strategic vantage point for monitoring and controlling the surrounding area. Archaeological excavations have revealed evidence of human occupation at Shoulsbury Castle dating back to the Iron Age, with pottery shards and other artifacts found on the site.

Today, Shoulsbury Castle is a designated heritage site, protected for its historical significance and archaeological value. Visitors to the site can explore the earthworks and ramparts, taking in the panoramic views of the Devon countryside. The hillfort offers a glimpse into the ancient past, allowing visitors to imagine what life may have been like for the people who once inhabited this hilltop stronghold.
