Sgeir a' Choire is a small island located in Argyllshire, Scotland. It is situated in the Sound of Mull, approximately 2 kilometers east of the village of Lochaline. The island has a unique landscape characterized by rugged cliffs, rocky outcrops, and grassy slopes.

Covering an area of around 10 hectares, Sgeir a' Choire is home to a variety of seabird species, including guillemots, razorbills, and kittiwakes. These birds nest on the cliffs and use the surrounding waters as a feeding ground. The island also serves as a breeding site for several seal colonies, with common seals often seen basking on the rocks.

Access to Sgeir a' Choire is limited due to its remote location and lack of infrastructure. There are no permanent residents or buildings on the island, making it a tranquil and undisturbed natural habitat. However, the island is occasionally visited by wildlife enthusiasts, birdwatchers, and photographers who are drawn to its unique scenery and abundant wildlife.

The surrounding waters of Sgeir a' Choire offer excellent opportunities for diving and snorkeling. The crystal-clear waters provide visibility for exploring the diverse marine life, including colorful fish, sea anemones, and kelp forests.

With its untouched beauty and rich biodiversity, Sgeir a' Choire is a hidden gem for nature lovers seeking a peaceful escape and a chance to observe Scotland's stunning coastal wildlife.
