Sgeir na Tràighe is a small island located in Argyllshire, Scotland. It is situated in the Sound of Mull, a narrow channel that separates the Isle of Mull from the mainland. The island is known for its picturesque beauty and rich wildlife.

With an area of around 0.2 hectares, Sgeir na Tràighe is a rocky and rugged islet characterized by its steep cliffs and rocky shores. It is uninhabited and inaccessible to the public, making it a haven for various seabird species. The island provides a nesting site for colonies of guillemots, razorbills, and puffins, among others. These birds can be seen diving into the surrounding waters in search of fish and other marine life.

The surrounding waters of Sgeir na Tràighe are also home to a diverse range of marine species. Seals can often be spotted resting on the rocky outcrops, while porpoises and dolphins are occasionally seen swimming nearby.

The island's isolation and untouched landscape make it a popular destination for birdwatching enthusiasts and wildlife photographers. However, due to its protected status, visitors are not permitted to land on the island without authorization.

Sgeir na Tràighe is a gem of natural beauty and biodiversity, offering a glimpse into Scotland's unspoiled coastal ecosystems. Its remote location and stunning wildlife make it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat amidst the rugged Scottish coastline.
