Beach Huts at Coldingham Sands on New Year’s Day 2024 On this beautiful bright sunny day there were lots of people walking along the cliff path from St Abbs and many more having parties at their beach huts on Coldingham Sands. Some folk had a swim. Although there were big white waves crashing ashore there was no sign of any surfers.

A storm out to sea earlier had produced the heavy swell, which, whilst disappointing the divers in our party, who couldn't go in, rewarded the photographer for her enforced early rising to accompany them!
