An Sùghachan is a prominent coastal feature located in Argyllshire, Scotland. It is a headland that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean, forming a distinctive point along the rugged coastline. The name "An Sùghachan" is derived from Scottish Gaelic, meaning "the joyful one," which aptly captures the beauty and charm of this natural landmark.

The headland is characterized by its steep cliffs that rise dramatically from the sea, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The cliffs are composed of ancient rock formations, showcasing the geological history of the region. Visitors can witness the power of the ocean as waves crash against the base of the headland, carving out sea caves and arches over time.

An Sùghachan is also known for its diverse wildlife. The surrounding waters are teeming with marine life, making it a popular spot for fishing enthusiasts and birdwatchers alike. Seabirds such as gannets, puffins, and fulmars can be spotted soaring above the cliffs, while seals and dolphins can often be seen swimming in the nearby waters.

The headland is easily accessible via a coastal path, which allows visitors to explore the area and take in the stunning views at their own pace. The path meanders along the edge of the cliffs, offering opportunities for photography and relaxation.
