Litla Stack is a small rock formation located off the coast of the Shetland Islands in Scotland. It is situated in the North Sea, approximately 3 miles northeast of the village of Eshaness. The name "Litla Stack" translates to "little stack" in Old Norse, reflecting its size and shape.

This natural wonder stands around 40 meters tall and is composed of rugged cliffs and steep slopes. It is a prominent landmark in the area, attracting visitors and photographers due to its unique and picturesque appearance. Litla Stack is known for its distinctive shape, resembling a towering pillar rising out of the sea.

The rock formation is home to a variety of seabirds, including puffins, guillemots, and fulmars. These birds nest on the cliffs and can often be seen diving into the surrounding waters in search of fish. The area surrounding Litla Stack is also rich in marine life, with seals and otters frequently spotted in the vicinity.

Access to Litla Stack is limited as it can only be reached by boat or through guided tours. The unpredictable weather and rough seas of the North Sea can make reaching the stack challenging, adding to its allure and sense of adventure.

Overall, Litla Stack is a stunning example of the natural beauty found in the Shetland Islands. Its towering presence, diverse birdlife, and rugged coastal scenery make it a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike.
