Dhubh Leac is a small, uninhabited island located off the coast of Ross-shire, Scotland. Situated in the Inner Hebrides, it is part of an archipelago known as the Summer Isles. The island is approximately 1.5 hectares in size and is characterized by its rugged cliffs, rocky terrain, and abundance of wildlife.

Dhubh Leac, which translates to "black rock" in Gaelic, is aptly named due to the dark, basaltic rock formations that dominate its landscape. The island is known for its striking geological features, including sea stacks and caves, formed over thousands of years by the relentless forces of the North Atlantic Ocean.

The island is a haven for various bird species, including puffins, guillemots, and razorbills, which nest in the cliffs during the breeding season. Seals can also be spotted basking on the rocky shores, while porpoises and dolphins are occasionally seen in the surrounding waters.

Access to Dhubh Leac is limited and can only be reached by boat. The island's remote location and untouched natural beauty make it a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts, birdwatchers, and photographers. However, visitors are reminded to respect the fragile ecosystem and wildlife by adhering to guidelines to minimize disturbance.

Dhubh Leac offers a unique opportunity to experience the unspoiled wilderness of the Scottish coast and immerse oneself in the tranquility of nature. Its raw beauty and rich biodiversity make it a must-visit for those seeking an authentic and awe-inspiring outdoor adventure.
