Old road past Ledgowan Lodge This was the main road, but has now been replaced by the new A890 road to the east, which opened in 1998. It is still a useful route for walking between Achnasheen village and the Ledgowan Lodge Hotel.

In recent years, the status of this road has been the subject of dispute. The current owners of Ledgowan Lodge want it closed, as they don't want people passing in front of the house. But it seems it is still legally a public road. It is now signed as "No motor vehicles, Except for access". It seems it is open for pedestrian use.

Next to it is an old stone bridge, presumably this once carried the A832 main road, before it was straightened and improved.

Allt Achadh na Sìne Fionn Bheinn was always a Munro I had intended to save for a ski ascent, with a deep snow cover. Not merely because it is the sort of rounded mountain that is eminently suited to ski touring, and has little technical interest in the summer, but also because it has a reputation for bogginess whenever the ground is not suitably hard frozen. However, as we were in the vicinity and this hill lies in an area where I'd already done all the others, it seemed fated that we would plod up the side of the Allt Achadh na Sìne today. Whilst the ground was probably drier than most of the year, it was certainly not easy going, even close to the steep drainage.
