Emmington is a small village located in the county of Oxfordshire, England. Situated approximately 10 miles south-east of the town of Thame, it falls within the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With a population of around 200 residents, Emmington offers a peaceful and picturesque setting.

The village is characterized by its charming thatched-roof cottages and traditional English architecture. The surrounding landscape features rolling hills, lush green fields, and dense woodlands, providing ample opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling.

In terms of amenities, Emmington is a relatively quiet village with limited facilities. There is no shop or pub within the village itself, but nearby towns and villages offer a range of amenities for daily needs. The village does, however, have a beautiful 12th-century church, St. Nicholas Church, which is a significant historical landmark.

Emmington's location makes it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside. The nearby Chiltern Hills offer stunning views and numerous walking trails, including the Ridgeway National Trail, which passes close to the village. Additionally, the market town of Thame is within easy reach, offering a wider range of shops, restaurants, and other amenities.

Overall, Emmington is a tranquil village in Oxfordshire, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of nearby towns. Its idyllic setting, combined with its proximity to the Chiltern Hills, makes it a desirable location for nature lovers and those seeking a slower pace of life.
