The road was completely blocked even to pedestrians, and to get through I had to wheel my bicycle through the field and squeeze through a gap.

Rising bollards on track to Hutton's Farm I am familiar with rising bollards with remote control on access to pedestrianised areas in towns, also on parking areas. This is the first time I have seen them in the countryside.
