Ruins of Ribbleton Hall All that is left of Ribbleton Hall in Grange Park, Preston.
Built by a Thomas Birchall in 1863, a local lawyer famed for his legion of mistresses.
It passed through several hands including a boys preparatory school in the 1920's, and the military during the Second World War.
It was finally demolished in 1955, to make way for a park for the local people of Preston.

All that is left of Ribbleton Hall in Grange Park, Preston. Built by a Thomas Birchall in 1863, a local lawyer famed for his legion of mistresses. It passed through several hands including a boys preparatory school in the 1920's, and the military during the Second World War. It was finally demolished in 1955, to make way for a park for the local people of Preston.

The first building here was built in the 1930s on Preston New Road, called the Riverside Café. The eastbound A59 access road is on the original alignment of the road. As a result, it was initially known as Riverside services. The Tickled Trout Hotel was owned by Carton Holdings, with Riverside Restaurants providing the catering. It joined the MacDonald Hotels chain in the mid-1990s.
