Newby Bridge Halt railway station, Cumbria Opened in 1905 by the Furness Railway on the branch line from Ulverston to Windermere Lake Side, this station closed to passengers in 1939. The whole line closed in 1965. The line was reopened as the heritage Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway in 1973 and calls here were resumed.
