Old Classic Landy at Rhespass farm This old vehicle has been shunted to the sidelines on the farmyard here. Someone would probably still give it a loving home and a painstaking rebuild.

Path beside a stream in the valley bottom The path is sometimes boggy and this wooden footbridge has been laid, which the sheep ignore, preferring to leap the little channel, as is their wont.

In a secluded valley in Shropshire Shropshire walking at its absolute best (imho); very quiet, pretty unspoilt, well off the beaten track and far away from honey-pots, walking articles in the guardian or telegraph and all thoughts of the outside world.

Approaching Caer-din Ring The ring crowns this hill. It is a Scheduled Monument and its scheduling states; 'a fine and well-preserved example of a small enclosed settlement of Iron Age or Romano-British origin, of particular interest because of its association with a probably contemporary field boundary and holloway, and an earlier (Bronze Age) round barrow.'

Besides that it is one of the very best spots to spend some time that I know of.

On Caer-din Ring A magnificent site. As I approached via the entrance a male dog fox ran out, virtually straight to me, he spotted me a split second before I saw and heard him, he gave a yarp of alarm and turned on a sixpence, with a spurt of acceleration was back over the skyline and gone. He was huge.
