The bridge at Newbridge The bridge is quite old and was built for people travelling on foot 

The bridge was originally about 1 metre above the bed of the stream. About 1960 a pipe was placed in the stream bed and cobbles laid over.

I was told by someone sometime ago that this was once the main route to the south and west from Truro.
