Inset entry to field It's quite common for a gated entry to a field to be inset into that field in order that vehicles can be moved off a public road whilst gates are opened and closed. What is less common is that such a field entry as this one from the B8079 into the parkland at Blair Castle has such impressive 'gateposts'!

B8079 passing below the house at Woodend The B8079 west of Blair Atholl where it's about to make a sharp turn to go under the railway route through Glen Garry. The road here was of course an earlier route of the A9 before its extensive rebuilding with a wider carriageway and partial dualling which avoids such settlements as Dunkeld, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl.
