Dunconnel Hill Dunconnel Hill, from the SE side, above Lochwinnoch. Taken on a misty October day in 2013. The hill is the site of an Iron Age enclosure and some artifacts have been found there. The hill has a good all-round view so is a great location for a defensive position.

Cairn at Little Auchenbourach Hill The cairn, more than 1000 feet above sea level, is adorned with a weather-beaten plaque commemorating William Arthur Cochran-Patrick, who was born on June 12, 1860, and died on January 29, 1881. He was aged just 20. He died of tetanus poisoning at Cambridge University
