The village is home to a number of historic buildings, including the 14th-century St. Andrew's Church, which boasts a stunning Perpendicular Gothic style and houses a collection of medieval wall paintings. The Star Inn, a traditional English pub dating back to the 16th century, is another notable landmark that adds to the village's historical charm.

Surrounded by rolling hills and verdant countryside, Alfriston is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the South Downs, with numerous walking trails and cycling routes to choose from. The nearby Cuckmere Valley and Seven Sisters cliffs provide breathtaking views of the English Channel, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and photographers.
