Waterfall, Afon Goch Afon Goch is located in a beautiful hanging valley above the well-known Aber Falls. It is not that easy to access as you have to overcome a somewhat exposed passage of wet rock which can be quite slippery, located directly at the entrance (see SH6669 : Path to Afon Goch).

The landscape is amazing: Several waterfalls and small gorges lie under the rocks of Bera Mawr on the right side and Llwytmor on the left side of the valley. There are basically three options to continue your walk:
1) Ford the river (this gets easier upstream) and head to the beautiful Beras on the right side.
2) Turn left to Llwytmor (probably the easiest option).
3) Follow the stream until it "ends" in a network of little streams and continue your ascent to the ridge connecting Carnedd Uchaf and Foel Fras.

Periglacial pavement A classic block-field or felsenmeer on the gently sloping summit area of Llwytmor. This is formed under periglacial conditions; that is when the bedrock is broken up by frost action but there is no ice or water to move the resulting debris.
In the distance is the southern coast of Anglesey. A curious feature of the day (apart from a strong and bitterly cold wind making photography very difficult) was the even layer of cloud over the distant sea making a false horizon.
