Winslow

East West Railway: Site of the proposed new Winslow station

Winslow Station Information Board
This board is located on the A413 Buckingham Road opposite the B4033 Great Horwood Road, the postcode being MK18 3DX. It indicates that land has been acquired for the new Winslow Station which is currently being built in a cutting behind the board. Details of the new station is on the East West Rail website Link. It is reported that the railway line between Oxford and Bletchley with Winslow Station will open in late 2023.

Footbridge across old railway line
This footbridge crossed the disused Bletchley to Oxford railway line in Winslow. Recently it has been demolished in connection with the building of the new Winslow Station nearby. The line is being rebuilt for East West Railway who will run trains from Milton Keynes to Oxford and London via Aylesbury. Winslow is the only new station to be built on this line at present.
Site of the new Winslow Station
Work is progressing on the new Winslow Station for East West Railway. The platforms will be sited at the foot of the grass covered cutting slopes.
New Winslow Station
The new Winslow Station is taking shape adjacent to the A413 road bridge. The construction of the platforms is well under way, also the staircases and platform buildings. There should soon be track laid between them. The projected opening date is 2024.
