Road bridge repairs on the A497 This is the main road from Nefyn to Pwllheli, but in January 2019 the bridge over the River Rhyd-Hir became unsafe due to one of the arch pillars collapsing into the river below after being struck by a vehicle. A temporary bailey bridge is being used while discussions continue on how to repair the bridge and possibly provide another wider bridge nearby
