St Mary's church, Craswall At a thousand feet up, the simple thickset stone barn of St Mary's is one of the highest churches in Herefordshire. So rocky is its setting, no graves can be dug in its churchyard. Recently, burglars stole the seating slabs on the wall visible in the photograph. They also stole a bell tent in the churchyard, used this last couple of years as an overnight stop for pilgrims on the Golden Valley Pilgrim Way.
