Curious metal pole, Lime Tree Avenue

This rather rusty metal post lies near the east end of Lime Tree Avenue just behind houses on Lanark Close. I have no idea as to its purpose, but have been intrigued by it ever since I first noticed it.

Nottingham Geospatial Building

This was the second building to go up on the Innovation Park side of the Jubilee Campus (between the railway line and Triumph Road), and it stood in isolation for a couple of years before the area between it and the Sports Centre was infilled. The building houses multi-disciplinary research groups, originally these were largely drawn from the Computer Science and Geography departments. Inside it is a fairly conventional open-plan office building with offices off the main floor spaces. The building is seen through the arch of the Sir Colin Campbell building which spans Triumph Road.

Harrison's Plantation nature reserve, linked with Martin's Pond and Raleigh Pond, forms a green oasis in the middle of suburban development. It is mixed broadleaf woodland which has developed a natural woodland character over the years. The path is a public right of way.

The southern approach to the railway bridge. There has been some recent tree clearance compared with John Sutton's 2011 view Link , taken from a few metres further back.

The condition of the wall is self explanatory; it was probably attacked by a heavy vehicle making its way to the Council depot at the top of the road.
