Garbh Eilean The specially built Garbh Eilean Wildlife Hide is directly opposite the island in Loch Sunart, enabling visitors to view a variety of wildlife in and around the shore of the island and beside the hide itself. A number of common seals can be seen resting on the shore of the island. Otters are also regularly seen here.

Rainbow over Loch Sunart I was watching a few seals loafing on Garbh Eilean when a brief burst of sunlight lit up the rocks below the hide and produced a rainbow over the loch. There was an oystercatcher standing on one of the smaller rocks.
