Bolsa, a deserted farmstead occupied within living memory. The house is unroofed but survives to the gables. In the immediate vicinity are the footings of three earlier buildings, two enclosures, and an area of rig-and-furrow.

The ruin of Bolsa and Mala Bholsa, Islay This was my first view of this ruin after walking from Bunnahabhain and up and down Beinn Thrasda. It simply isn't visible until you're virtually on top of it from this direction.

Beinn Thrasda = Horizontal or diagonal mountain
Mala Bholsa = Hill of the Farm
