Chalupa Chalupa, is a Mexican dish, but I have been unable, so far, to find out why a croft house soberly named Scews on the maps, and apparently without vehicle access, should rejoice in this eye-catchingly colourful sign over the entrance to its path.

Something ugly on the hillside Looking like some evil structure for a future dystopian society, this concrete monstrosity sits on the hillside overlooking Lyness. Further investigation reveals that it is an abandoned WW2 structure which was the main RN communications centre for Scapa Flow and once employed over 200 WRENS as telephonists, radio operators etc.
