With so many commercial activities taking place here the park has become very busy. As a result attempts have been made to close off parts of the woodland. This is part of a very pronounced trend in the area with constructive methods being used to keep people off land yet staying within the law. Tactics elsewhere have included closing off historic monuments due to crimes that may not have actually happened, closing car parks as well as just pushing your luck with non compliant signage.
