Old milestone This stone in the hamlet of Halton East is at the junction of Green Lane with Moor Lane.  However the former soon peters out into a track.   From the style of lettering which is only on this face,  it probably dates from the late 18th or early 19th centuries.   The lichens indicate  clean air.
