Isabella Pit is a former coal mining colliery located in the county of Northumberland, England. Situated in the rural village of Blyth, the pit played a significant role in the region's mining history.

Isabella Pit was sunk in 1864 by the Isabella Colliery Company, and it quickly became one of the largest and most productive mines in the area. The colliery employed hundreds of workers who toiled underground, extracting coal from the rich seams that lay beneath the surface.

At its peak, Isabella Pit produced millions of tons of coal annually, contributing to the local economy and providing employment opportunities for the surrounding community. The pit operated for over a century, witnessing the highs and lows of the coal industry.

However, like many other coal mines in the United Kingdom, Isabella Pit faced challenges as the industry declined in the late 20th century. The mine eventually closed down in 1962, marking the end of an era for the village and its residents.
