The Lythe This was a custom-built care home, but the regulations changed and the building no longer conforms, so it is now lying empty. It must have been great for residents who enjoyed good views, but it isn't exactly handy for most visitors.

Yellow Raspberries (Rubus idaeus) The track here is lined on both sides with apparently wild raspberries, mostly the usual red but with some yellow-berried plants. Naturally we sampled them and I have to say that the yellow ones were sweeter and more flavoursome than the red.

A Sensible Sign Though I don't imagine that many people pass this way to see it. We saw no other walkers at all for most of our 5-mile circuit today.
