As its name suggests, this circle is in the middle of a wood and not easy to photograph well. This shows the recumbent setting, though the east flanker, at the far end of the recumbent, is so well camouflaged that it all but disappears in the dappled light. See Link

This recumbent setting is one of the most impressive anywhere, with all three stones still properly in situ. There are indentations on this face of the recumbent which are called 'The Devil's Hoofprints', but they are difficult to see and impossible to photograph. See Link

Thanks to the trees that closely surround the circle, it is all but impossible to get a photograph of the whole circle. This shows most of it. Nearest the camera is the remaining orthostat on the south-east arc. At extreme left is the recumbent setting, and to the right of that are the two stones on the west arc, though they are hard to make out in the shadows. See Link

The nearest stones, one lying almost flat with a fern beside it, and the nearest upright one, are the surviving orthostats of the west arc of the circle. Next, in front of the copper beech, are the three stones of the recumbent setting, and finally the sole remaining stone in the south-east arc. See Link
