Repainting of Hydro electric water pipeline This was the first time I had walked up Gleann nan Caorann in three years. Water flow from intakes has been stopped whilst the pipeline is partly dismantled and paint removal and repainting works are being carried out. No idea how long this will take, but I'd say it will probably be complete by late summer 2009.

Hydro electric water outlet dam This small dam collects water captured from the 'Caorann Plateau' to the east. It then enters a large above-ground water pipeline to traverse the west end of Gleann nan Caorann. This photograph was taken during a prolonged, sudden snowstorm.

Hydo-electric water conduit On the left of the photograph, water arrives from Sgairneach Mor, whilst on the right, an enclosed conduit contains water sourced from further along and across Gleann nan Caorann. My other photograph from this square shows this conduit disappearing into the hillside (to the back of the photographer).
