Ness of Collaster is a prominent coastal feature located in the Shetland Islands, Scotland. It is a headland or point that juts out into the North Atlantic Ocean, forming the northeasternmost tip of the mainland Shetland. The headland is situated on the eastern side of the island of Yell, approximately 3 miles northeast of the village of Cullivoe.

Ness of Collaster is characterized by its rugged and dramatic cliffs, rising up to 100 feet in some places. The cliffs are composed of sedimentary rocks, predominantly sandstone and shale, which have been shaped by the relentless pounding of the sea over thousands of years. The exposed nature of the headland also makes it prone to strong winds and rough seas, adding to its wild and untamed beauty.

The area surrounding Ness of Collaster is rich in wildlife, with numerous species of seabirds nesting on the cliffs, including guillemots, kittiwakes, and fulmars. It is also a popular spot for birdwatching, as migratory birds can often be seen passing through during the spring and autumn seasons.

Accessible by a narrow road that winds its way through the rugged terrain, Ness of Collaster offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and the open ocean. Visitors to the headland can enjoy peaceful walks along the cliff tops, taking in the stunning scenery and immersing themselves in the raw beauty of this remote and untouched coastal landscape.
