By its shape and location, it probably carried a conveyor belt, and the conveyor belt probably carried material to infill the lagoons north of Frodsham.

Castle Park House. Frodsham
Rebuilt in the 1850s, probably by T.M. Penson, for a Warrington manufacturer.
Its grounds are a public park and the house is at least partly used as council offices.

Not large, but making quite a statement with its pedimented corps-de-logis connected by curved links to wings. Grade II listed.
