All Saints church, Cockley Cley This church has had a chequered history. It dates from about 1300 and had a round tower (easier to build than square ones at the time). In 1866 the roof of the nave collapsed, and the church was then largely restored in the Victorian style. And as recently as 1991 much of the round tower collapsed: what remains of the tower can be seen on the left of this photo.
