A few years ago I read a book by Mark Mason "Walking the lines" in which he walked the route of the London Underground lines, overground. I will repeat this visiting all 272 stations (some more than once). My route tries to follow the line of the railway as closely as possible, using footpaths and roads, deviations are made to make the walk more "interesting".

Epping is a London Underground station in the town of Epping in Essex. The station serves as the north-eastern terminus of the Central line. Located in Travelcard Zone 6, it is one of eight London Underground stations in the Epping Forest District. The station before Epping is Theydon Bois, which is about three minutes' travelling time away. The station opened in 1865.

Epping Underground railway station, Essex

Opened in 1865 by the Great Eastern Railway on the line from London Liverpool Street to Loughton and Ongar, this station transferred to London Underground in 1949. In 1994, it became the terminus of the line when services to Ongar were withdrawn. View south west towards Theydon Bois. Like 55% of the London Underground network, this part is actually overground.
