Pumping station on River Beane. For some reason this trickle known as the River (river?) Beane has a cluster of pumping stations near this spot. The neighbour is Whitehall Pumping Station Number 1. So this must be number 2 then.

It is present on the Ordnance Survey map of 1923 but not on the edition of 1899, which gives some clue as to when the railway was built.
