Old milestone This 3 step mounting block milestone from the Beverley to Kexby Bridge (River Derwent)tollroad has lost its plate.   It is hidden behind the safety barrier on the edge of Deepdale Plantation on the south side of the road.  The legend inscribed on the lost metal plate would have read 4/BEVERLEY/25/YORK.
